Tengyur School Is Open And Welcomes Its First Students.
The people of Tawang celebrate the official opening of the Tengyur School by Kyabje Ling Rinpoche on August 8th, 2022, and Tulku Tengyur Rinpoche receives His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s blessings for his studies at the Harvard Divinity School.
We are helping children in remote Himalayan communities to fulfill their potential through an innovative model of education that bridges traditional wisdom and modern learning, and sustains their language and culture.
The Tengyur School for Developing Compassion and Wisdom
Wisdom Bridges is partnering with the Thubten Shedrubling Foundation to support the Tengyur School in Tawang, India. The School’s culturally appropriate curriculum integrates Buddhist values with modern Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) to prepare students for success in today’s rapidly changing world. His Holiness the Dalai Lama has endorsed the project and in 2017, personally blessed the site of the school.

2017 Visit to Tawang
His Holiness the Dalai Lama personally blessed the construction site of the school in 2017 and on June 1, 2021, His Holiness the Dalai Lama wrote to encourage Thubten Shedrubling Foundation to proceed with the school.
